GivingPlus®—A one-of-a-kind gifting program
Thrivent Financial helps our members contribute even more to their favorite Lutheran organizations, unlike any other financial services provider. Through GivingPlus, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and two of its subsidiaries will add $1 to every $2 contributed to enrolled Lutheran organizations by benefits members and those who own Thrivent Mutual Funds and Thrivent Life Insurance Company products.

Lutheran organizations will receive millions in 2008 through GivingPlus
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Thrivent Asset Management, LLC1, and Thrivent Life Insurance Company2 have earmarked a total of $27.5 million for GivingPlus in 2008. These funds will be added to donations members make, increasing their support to the Lutheran community.

Thrivent Financial GivingPlus® Contributions
The budgeted amount for GivingPlus® in 2008 is $27.5 million.
Projected 2008 GivingPlus Contributions

Through October 31, 2008, 58.97% of GivingPlus® funds have been distributed.

Extra benefit for volunteerism
Supporting volunteerism also is important to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. When a member has given 25 or more hours of volunteer service to the organization he or she supports with eligible GivingPlus gifts, Thrivent Financial or one of its subsidiaries will contribute an additional $25. Members are eligible to add this volunteerism gift to one GivingPlus gift per year. Be sure the appropriate bubble is filled in on the member gift form. Volunteer service may include unpaid time working on projects/activities or serving on a governing/task group for the recipient organization. Hours spent on Thrivent chapter or congregational service team projects are not eligible for consideration.

1 Thrivent Asset Management, LLC is a registered investment adviser that provides investment management services to the Thrivent Mutual Funds.

2 Thrivent Life Insurance Company is a life insurance company domiciled in Minnesota that issued variable life insurance and variable annuities to members prior to the time that state law authorized fraternal benefit societies to offer these products.
